The Crittenden Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services for the area between Alden, Akron and Genesee County, New York.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP?

Anyone over the age of 14.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO ONCE I BECOME A MEMBER?

  • Pass an OSHA physical (paid for by the Company)
  • Respond to a minimum of 10% of our calls.
  • Attend at least 6 monthly meetings per year.
  • Attend a minimum of 15 drills per year.
  • Attend NYS classes in Fire Suppression and First Aid

IMPORTANT NOTE

You will be required to pay a one-time $5.00 membership fee. We do not collect it online for security reasons.

We have 3 membership options:

1) Active Membership
Anyone over 18 years of age who is looking to join as a Member to do Fire Fighting, EMS or Fire Police Duties

2) Jr Membership
Anyone between 16-18 years old wanting to join the fire department to learn and train on the duties of the fire service. Has additional rules and bylaws to follow and needs Parental signature as well.

Any Person over 18 years of age who wish to help the Fire department in fundraising or administrative duties.
